All Deep Rock Galactic Classes Explained
All classes in Deep Rock Galactic
In this game, you play as dwarves with special weapons and gear designed to help you survive and mine minerals in deep enemy territories. There are four types of dwarves or character classes you can select from—Gunner, Scout, Driller, and Engineer. Each class has different types of gear but the Pickaxe and High-Intensity Flare are two basic equipment available to all.
Gunner class - Deep Rock Galactic
As the name implies, Gunner is a frontline soldier who carries heavy weaponry that can effortlessly mow down waves of enemies in the way. This includes a fast-firing Minigun, a high-damage Revolver, and Sticky Grenades. While the Gunner is great at attacking, he is also the best at providing support thanks to his Shield Generator and Zipline Launcher. Below are all the gear you can choose from while playing Gunner.
Scout class - Deep Rock Galactic
Think of Scout as the nimble dwarf who can reach tough spots to mine minerals and get out of complex situations easily, all thanks to his Grappling Hook. He also carries a Flare Gun that illuminates much better than the regular flares every character gets. It should be noted that his primary weapon, the Deepcore GK2, isn’t as powerful and I found myself running out of ammo consistently while using it. Here are all the gear and utilities available for Scout.
Driller class - Deep Rock Galactic
Driller is a mining specialist who brings his Flamethrower into the battlefield. What makes him great at mining is the Power Drill that can be used to vigorously drill through any surface. His Satchel Charge utility always comes in handy when you want to lay a trap for the monsters and explode them into bits. Driller is good at mining and killing bugs, which is why he’s my favorite class in Deep Rock Galactic. Let’s have a look at the equipment and weapons available to Driller.
Engineer class - Deep Rock Galactic
If tactical play is your thing, you have to try the Engineer dwarf. By default, he carries a shotgun and a grenade launcher, both of which are very powerful weapons. If you want to defend an area from enemies or are facing an incoming wave, place down the sentry turret to do half the work for you. Engineer also carries the Platform Gun, a highly functional tool you can use to create your own terrain to reach complex spots. Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor is a top-down, auto-shooter with the same concept as the original game. Visit How to unlock all characters in Deep Rock Galactic Survivor on Pro Game Guides for more.
