Dragon’s Dogma 2 presents a vast, detailed world filled with a variety of icons on the map to guide your journey. Each icon has a specific meaning, helping you find what you need quickly.
Tavern: A place to drink and pass the time. The Stardrop Inn in Vernworth is also a meeting place with Captain Brant and a main place to obtain main quest assignments. Bench: Sit here to pass the time within the game. Inn: A spot for health recovery, time passage, and storage organization. Pawn Guild: Customize your Main Pawn here. Riftstone: Use it to summon or change pawns. Bordelrie: Where you can use courtesan services and occasionally spy on royalty. Mine: Dungeons filled with enemies and bosses. They range from easy to do to rather challenging, so thread carefully if you make any attempts. Oracle: Seek hints for your next quest steps here. Outpost: A smaller location with limited facilities. Sometimes, they will only have an Armory and an Inn to spend the night. Barberie: Change your or your pawn’s hairstyle. Using the book called Art of Metamorphosis, you can even completely customize your or your pawn’s appearance for a limited number of times. Apothecary: Your go-to for curatives, implements, and materials. Settlement: Enterable areas with various interactions. Armory (Armor): Buy or enhance your armor here. Armory (Weapons): A place to buy or upgrade weapons. Vocation Guild: Here, you can change your vocation and acquire new skills. You can also place all your collected Seeker’s Tokens. Campsite: Ideal for recovery, cooking, skill changes, and time passing. Note that sleeping at a campsite does not save your progress. Scrap Store: Duplicate items, excluding equipment. Mortuary: Revive NPCs using Wakestones. Exit: Marks the exit points of current areas. Portcrystal: Use it for teleportation between set points on the map. Ox. Station: A transport option between different cities. With Dragon’s Dogma 2 lacking reliable fast travel, Ox wagons are the next best thing available. Town: Towns host a variety of facilities to explore. Riftstone: The grand riftsone of Vernmund.
It took me some time to learn my way around the map navigation, but it was well worth it in the end, especially once I dove deeper into main and side quests.
