All Ffxiv Job Changes New Abilities In Dawntrail
All job adjustments and new actions in FFXIV Dawntrail
With the addition of higher level (Level 90+) content in Dawntrail and two new DPS jobs, action adjustments have been made to most existing classes. New Level 90+ actions have also been added for each job. We’ve listed all of these below, according to each job, and categorized them in order by class (i.e. - Tank, Healer, Melee DPS, Ranged DPS). Aside from the official inclusion of Viper and Pictomancer among the ranks, there look to be some standout adjustments for this expansion. Dragoon steadily relinquishes positional requirements, Monk combos being repurposed for more actual damage than buffs, and Black Mage restoring more MP for even more damage output are just a few. Astrologian gets yet another significant change to the purpose of its card system as well, being the infamous healing class that hasn’t been put back together properly since the Stormblood expansion saw fit to break it. Nonetheless, this looks like a step in the right direction from the last questionable change to the job.
All class changes in FFXIV Dawntrail
Several changes to all three main classes (i.e. Tank, Healer, DPS) have been introduced for the Dawntrail expansion, to bring proper balance to all new job actions and subsequent adjustments to existing ones. We’ve listed those changes below, according to each class. As players rise past Level 90 and take on the biggest challenges the game has to offer thus far, these beneficial adjustments are sure to help make things easier in terms of combat. The decreased cooldown time on Swiftcast is especially welcome for healers and magical DPS alike. Getting those Raises off quicker in a pinch, or an extra attack in your rotation is paramount. The increased duration of debuff attacks like Feint and Addle are also good improvements, as every bit of damage dealt in a difficult fight makes a big difference.
New Action Change Settings feature in FFXIV Dawntrail
A brand new feature in FFXIV’s Dawntrail expansion called ‘Action Change Settings’ intends to help re-organize and de-clutter hotbars, especially for those who play on a console and/ or use controllers/gamepads. Similar to systems used by other MMOs, players will have the option to change how action hotbar icons function, specifically when it comes to combo actions. Instead of a combo taking up multiple icon spaces on a hotbar, each icon replaces the other in sequence on a single space. This feature can be found by going to the ‘Actions & Traits’ submenu on the in-game dashboard, and then to ‘Actions’. There will be an ‘Action Change settings’ option for certain actions available to toggle on or off. That concludes our guide to all FFXIV job changes and new actions in Dawntrail.
