All Unlockable Hairstyles In Final Fantasy Xiv
How to unlock and use hairstyles in FFXIV
Hairstyles are unlocked in FFXIV by obtaining or purchasing unique consumable items called ‘Modern Aesthetics’. Each one has a unique name and upon “using” it the specific hairstyle provided with that item will unlock and become permanently available for your character. Hairstyles are obtained in a variety of ways, such as by buying them off the Market Board or Mog Station, exchanging unique in-game currencies for them, or via rare loot drops. You can change your character’s hairstyle at any time by visiting an Inn and selecting the Crystal Bell. If you have an apartment or house, you can buy a Crystal Bell from the Market Board to use there as well. This summons the eccentric-looking Aesthetician NPC who can style your hair into anything you have unlocked for a fee of 2,000 gil. You can modify your makeup as well if you wish. However, if you decide that you don’t like a look you’ve made, you can back out of the process and you won’t be charged. Important Note: If you already have a certain hairstyle unlocked, a gold checkmark will be visible on the icon for that Modern Aesthetics item. So make sure you don’t buy it more than once. Also, remember that Viera and Hrothgar races are limited in the variety of unlockable styles they can use, so double-check our guide below before making a purchase.
