You’ll want to ensure that you travel down to The Depths with a surplus of the bait listed in this table - particularly the Truffle Worms for the Ancient Depth Serpent. Of course, you’ll need to wait for an Absolute Darkness event to catch an Ancient Depth Serpent, but the wait is worth it if you can catch a couple during the 10-minute event.
