Best Minecraft 1.16 Java Seeds

Minecraft’s 1.16 Nether Update was released in 2020, overhauling the preexisting Nether with new biomes, mobs, and more! It was also the update before Overworld caves became the monstrous geographical structures they now are—so if you love the Nether but aren’t a big fan of caves, you may enjoy this version more than the current one.

Starting Village with Pillager Outpost

Seed: -6240853255827767481 Spawning inside a Plains Village is the perfect way to get a headstart in any Minecraft world. This one comes with a Blacksmith’s shop and a ruined Nether portal on its edge. In the distance, a Pillager Outpost is hidden behind some of the ridges in a Shattered Savanna Plateau biome.

Swamp Mansion

Seed: -2427309064657954188 A Woodland Mansion resides halfway inside of the Swamp in this world. The Mansion is home to various dangerous mobs, including zombies, Pillagers, and spiders. Behind the structure is a ruined Nether portal partially sunken into the Swamp’s waters. Its chest contains enough obsidian to fix it as long as you can remove the water from around the portal.

Taiga Islanders

Seed: -1611961813294906303 The warm-toned blue of the ocean gives this island a tropical feel despite the dark colors of the Taiga on it. You’ll begin in the middle of the Taiga Village on the island’s western end, giving you immediate access to plenty of resources. For more structures, explore the water around the island to find a few shipwrecks. Additionally, travel across the ocean to the south to find a Mushroom Island attached to the world’s main continent.

Desert Cult

Seed: -2601753846748182763 If you’re looking for a challenge, this Desert Temple is more than happy to provide one for you. The Pillagers have been using it as the home base for their operations ever since they stumbled upon it. To access the treasures of both the temple and outpost, you’ll need to fight through them and any monsters that spawn within the Temple.

Deadly Nether Portal

Seed: -3455921923757549105 This once bustling Plains Village became desolate after they attempted to travel to the Nether. While the Nether Portal has fallen apart over time, its chest has enough obsidian to rebuild it and finish what the villagers started. Whether or not you’ll suffer the same fate as them is left to be seen.

Frozen Desert Border

Seed: -4828122896019822884 A small sandy hill serves as the center of this Desert Village. It comes with wheat fields and a Blacksmith, giving you everything you need to survive at the start of a new adventure. A short swim away from the Desert Village is a Frozen Ocean containing a close shipwreck. You’ll also find a ruined Nether portal to the left of the village.

Connected Mushrooms

Seed: 8938913758555334117 One of my favorite parts of Minecraft 1.16 is its unique world generation. You can often find unique biomes mashed together, like the Mushroom Island and Windswept Hills in this seed. It’s a beautiful sight you just can’t get anywhere else.

Ocean Mound near Outpost

Seed: 8820437480729571062 This mound-like island contains a small Forest biome and is located only a short distance from the mainland. When you face the shore, you’ll find a Pillager Outpost staring back at you. Use the trees on the island and the neighboring Savanna to craft basic gear to take on the outpost. You’ll earn some useful experience as well as special rewards from the outpost’s chest.

Jungle Cove Temple

Seed: 6729090203599897552 Jungle Temples are one of the precious structures available in Minecraft 1.16. This Jungle Temple lies on the edge of a cove only a short walk from Spawn. Players can explore the surrounding ocean as well to find a shipwreck and a few Small Cold Ocean Ruins.

Mushroom Island Treasures

In this seed, a small mycelium bridge is formed between a Mushroom Island and the Plains biome you spawn in. While a beautiful sight, this Mushroom Island is more than just aesthetics. It’s actually home to five different chests of buried treasure!

Five Temple Jungle

Seed: -1483811841 Five Jungle Temples are scattered around the Jungle at the start of this world. It will take some time to reach them all, but it’ll be an adventure worth sharing with friends. After exploring these temples, travel east to come across plenty of villages. You’ll also find four more Jungle Temples to the northwest if you’re not satisfied with the original five.

Mansion’s Village

Seed: -362946998 A Woodland Mansion is always a welcome structure at the start of any Minecraft seed. This is especially true in version 1.16 because they often generate thousands of blocks away from Spawn. The Woodland Mansion in this seed comes with a large Plains Village. A Blacksmith in the village will help you gear up before taking on the many enemies in the Mansion.

Towering Outpost by Windswept Village

Seed: -799592869 In this world, Spawn is surrounded by Windswept Hills and Forest biomes. Traversing across the Windswept Hills leads you to a tall Pillager Outpost on the side of a hill next to a Plains Village. The location of these two structures is perfect for gathering resources and experience at the beginning of your world. You’ll also find a ruined portal and two lava lakes near the village.

Frozen Monument

Seed: -454389960 A typical Frozen Ocean doesn’t draw much attention by itself. This one, however, is only formed above an Ocean Monument! The rest of the seas are clear without a patch of ice in sight. This frozen phenomenon may have something to do with the monument and the shipwreck resting nearby beneath the ice.

Desert Plains Village

Seed: 1516550892 A Plains Village extends into an arid Desert in this Minecraft world. Players spawn in the center of this village. This gives them immediate access to food, beds, chest loot, and even penned animals. Get your world started by grabbing a bed and some food, then breed the animals to secure a consistent source of food.

Icy Turtle Beach

Seed: -926800594 Minecraft sea turtles usually hang around sunny beaches and warmer oceans. In this seed, they defy the odds by swimming around in arctic conditions. Players will find a few small ocean ruin structures beneath the ice, plus a Snowy Village a short walk away.

Dangerous Desert

Seed: 1047800268 If you’re a Minecraft risk-taker, you’ll want to test your mettle by surviving in this dangerous Desert. Players will immediately come across a Desert Temple and a Pillager Outpost overflowing with armed Pillagers. A village in the distance gives the illusion of safety, but as you get closer you’ll discover that it’s been abandoned and filled with zombies.
