Best Minecraft 1.21 Desert Seeds (Bedrock and Java)
Whether you play Bedrock or Java, you can visit any of these gorgeous Minecraft Deserts. The structures may differ depending on your version, but coordinates are provided for both to jumpstart your gameplay.
Desert Lava Lake
Seed: 2331548527746246110 A Lava Lake awaits you in this seed at the bottom of the cave near Spawn. The Dripstone Cave biome in this passage makes traveling difficult, but by using a water bucket and moving carefully you can easily reach the lake. Both Java and Bedrock players will find a Desert Temple, a Desert Village, and a Pillager Outpost in the surrounding area.
Lush Badlands Getaway
Seed: -576048463107103748 This Badlands biome is home to a wide variety of biomes and structures. To its east is a Coral Reef in a Warm Ocean while the western border is lined by a Bamboo Jungle. Players will find multiple caves within the biome, including a large one home to a Lush Cave biome. Explore it to find plenty of ores and potentially a mineshaft or two. Above ground, Java players will have a Desert Village and a ruined portal while Bedrock players will need to dig up buried treasure for materials.
Coral Caverns
Seed: -7246812113012807575 Mineshafts are the star of this Desert seed. Bedrock and Java players alike will find a mineshaft near the top of the cave by Spawn. Java players have a little extra luck due to the two Plains Villages in the area. In contrast, Bedrock players will have a Desert Temple and a ruined portal to explore. These different opportunities make this seed enjoyable for everyone regardless of the version they play.
Monster Temple
Seed: 9110089926306175665 This Desert Temple lies dormant beneath a cliff. Since the cliff has cast the temple into shadows, the structure is overrun with monsters. You’ll need to defeat the lot of them to access the chests hidden inside of the temple. Bedrock players will not have this structure, but they will have their own unique Desert Temple buried inside of a hill. Only the edges peek out, making for an interesting sight.
Tall Temple
Seed: 6262412547925226943 This Desert Temple has fused with some of the Desert Village’s homes. When you attempt to enter the home at the base of the Desert Temple, you’ll come face to face with a sandstone wall instead. Bedrock players will also find a ruined portal a short walk away from the temple.
Badlands Mines
Seed: -8091146072207182153 Mineshafts in the Badlands often poke through the surface, giving players easy access to their riches. Java players will have immediate access to these mines and several caves along the mountain. Instead of the mines, Bedrock players will find a few ruined portals throughout the Badlands.
Two Blacksmith Desert
Seed: -9130463027772930069 This Desert comes stocked with two Blacksmith villagers for Java players. You’ll also find a shipwreck near Spawn containing two chests filled with treasure. If you’re a Bedrock player, you’ll find a Desert Village and two Desert Temples in the Desert instead. Remember to explore the Coral Reef for hidden Warm Ocean Ruins, shipwrecks, and other ocean-floor oddities.
Flooded Lush Cave
Seed: 1646681668220896954 This Lush Cave is an oasis in the arid desert of this world. The overflowing water pools and spilling water falls give players easy access to every floor of the cave. They also ensure that you’ll be able to find abundant Glow Squids during your trips into the cave. Java players will have a Desert Village while Bedrock players will have a Desert Temple with a Desert Village a little further off.
Buried Badlands Temple
Seed: 6966115695617791273 Both the Java and Bedrock variations of this seed have a Desert Temple that is at least somewhat buried in sand. Java players will find this Desert Temple near the Badlands biome. They can easily enter the temple through the hole in the top, making it an easy way to get fast treasure. Bedrock players will have a less buried temple closer to the lake than the Badlands biome. All players will find a ruined Nether Portal, but only Bedrock players will find a dark oak mineshaft near theirs.
Underground Temple Base
Seed: 2738229605918469861 If I didn’t tell you there was a Desert Temple in this photo, you’d never believe it! By entering a small hole in the ground at the coordinates listed below, Java players will be able to enter a hidden Desert Temple. Take out the supporting pillars, remove the TNT, and light it up to convert it into a ready-made base. Bedrock players will not have this temple, but they will have a Savanna Village to benefit from.
Desert Gravel and Floating Temple
Seed: 6756301216350593400 A Desert Temple floats idly in the ocean in the Bedrock version of this Minecraft seed. Although Java players will not have the same temple or village, they can enjoy these gravel and Desert islands just like Bedrock enjoyers. As a bonus, the sea beyond these islands contains a Coral Reef filled with tropical fish.
From Savanna to Desert
Seed: -309097248138570481 Savanna Villages extend into an arid Desert, serving as a pop of color and life in the otherwise quiet Desert. The Java Village is located on a large ravine dropping deep into the earth. It allows players to easily access ores so long as they can fight off the strong underground mobs. In contrast, the Bedrock village is slightly above the ravine and extends into both the nearby Plains biome and the Desert.
Desert Temple Fort
Seed: 5674650128464260190 This Desert Temple has merged with the Windswept biome behind it. While it looks a bit like a melting sand castle, Bedrock players will find it makes for a great fort. The red sandstone blocks can be emphasized for a grand appearance or removed to hide it further. Java players won’t have this structure, but they’ll still be able to visit a temple further out in the Desert.
Coral Oasis
Seed: -2860892452307753223 This Desert Island is a small oasis floating atop a Coral Reef. The right edge of the island is a Jungle biome, giving players access to trees and vines. Players of both versions will find sunken ships in the area. However, Bedrock players will also find a small Warm Ocean Ruin poking out of the Coral Reef.
Double Desert Village
Seed: -4427446227039247623 Two Desert Villages have combined into one giant village in front of this Mangrove Swamp. Two of the houses already have cows and sheep penned while the villages combined have lots of cats and a single camel. Players will be able to breed these animals using the dozens of haybales around the village for an endless supply of resources.
Desert Raiders
Seed: -3248821171293420375 These Pillagers have claimed the Desert’s peninsula as their home turf. Bedrock players will have the opportunity to take them out before exploring the Coral Reef. Java players will not have to deal with these raiders. Instead, they’ll be able to mingle with a lively Desert Village.
Badlands Deepslate Drop
Seed: 8459776268029292334 Deepslate caverns are always a treat due to their fast access to diamonds and other precious minerals. Players entering this Desert world can walk right into one as soon as they start the game! All they’ll need to do first is find a tree and gather its wood, saplings, and some dirt. From there, create an intricate mining operation complete with a tree farm in the Deepslate cave. You’ll be drowning in riches in no time.
