In general, Chimecho fills two roles: either a Special Wall or a bulky sweeper. The Calm nature is better for the Special Wall role since it, well, helps guard against Special Attacks. Chimecho can do several things with this: it can Wish pass like Umbreon, get up some Cosmic Powers to become invincible, or even Trick a Choice Scarf onto an unsuspecting wall. As for a bulky sweeper, Chimecho would want Bold in this case. It can boost its own Special Defense with Calm Mind, so that’s why a Defense-boosting nature is preferred here. With this set, I would recommend running Draining Kiss because Chimecho doesn’t have any recovery (outside of giving it Leftovers).
