Bg3 How To Save Baelen In Baldur S Gate 3

How to Rescue Baelen in Baldur’s Gate 3 and Complete the Mushroom Picker Quest

To rescue Baelen in Baldur’s Gate 3 and complete the Mushroom Picker quest, you must first speak to Derryth Bonecloak (X:56, Y: -100) to start the quest. Head into the northwest corner of the Underdark region. You will soon find Baelen (X: -18, Y: -85), who will be surrounded by Bibberbang (green-hued explosive mushrooms that activate when they sense vibrations). After initiating dialogue with Baelen, you must give him the Misty Step scroll, which he can use to safely get out of the mushroom field. The tricky part of the task is getting the scroll to him. If you can manage to approach him safely, you can hand him over the scroll. Alternatively, you can toss the scroll to him by passing a Strength roll of 10. If you choose this approach, select your strongest companion at the moment. Alternatively, you can use Dash after switching the turn-based mode on, then run right past the mushrooms without triggering them. As long as I ended each turn far enough away from the mushrooms, I never set them off, so this method is pretty safe.

How to Obtain Baelen’s Bag in the Mushroom Picker Quest in Baldur’s Gate 3

You can use Enhanced Leap or Misty Step to reach Baelen’s Bag in the Mushroom Picker quest in Baldur’s Gate 3. Jumping over the Bibberbang mushrooms won’t set them off, so you will be safe as long as you are not moving from the exact spot where you picked up the bag. Toss it to Baelen so he can escape the mushroom field using a spell contained inside his bag.  Looking for more articles to help you on your quests in Baldur’s Gate 3? You’ve come to the right place!
