Best Characters in Danganronpa, Ranked

Danganronpa has a lot of characters with various psychological profiles. To win the cruel game, your character needs to eliminate all the others and avoid being caught. If you remember the game Among Us, it’s a similar idea, just set in a school with high schoolers instead of astronauts. The students are divided into four tiers, from S to C. The higher the tier, the higher the possibility the character will survive the game to the end, based on their psychological profile. Now, let’s begin.

S-Tier

Byakuya Togami - This heir of the Togami family is ruthless and cold-blooded. He is extremely efficient and doesn’t explain his actions to anyone. His calculating and pragmatic demeanor makes him a favorite to win. Junko Enoshima - Unlike Byakuya, Junko is purely chaotic in her acting. Although she’s not as intelligent as Byakuya is, she’s highly unpredictable and completely unhinged. And that’s what is needed to win the game.

A-Tier

Chihiro Fujisaki - The “Ultimate Programmer” is a brilliant high school girl, though also very fragile and physically weak. Her intelligence is on par with Byakuya’s, but her frailty sets her in A-Tier. Celestia Ludenburg - She’s a renowned gambler and a very enigmatic person. Being a gambler, she’s cold and calculating even in stressful situations. However, her deceptive nature brings her down in ranking.

B-Tier

Kokichi Oma - This seemingly talentless young boy hides any info about himself, so there’s seemingly no weakness about him. However, his lack of talent could only get him so far, and his lying habit also makes people distrust him. Mondo Oowada - Mondo is a burly and strong biking leader with a tragic past. On any other occasion, he’d be a great hero, but his lack of intelligence and manipulation brings him down in the death game.

C-Tier

Touko Fukawa -This shy and shut-in girl is a very talented writer. Her imagination is great, but she’s not assertive and can’t impose her will onto others. That’s why she doesn’t have much chance to win. Hiyoko Saionji - Hiyoko is very petite and cute, though she has a hint of malice in her behavior. Still, her sheltered way of growing up didn’t prepare her for the cruelty of the survival game.
