Fortunately, Epic Games has revamped the Refer a Friend system to reward both you and any friends who might be convinced to play the game—giving you the perfect opportunity to turn your Solo matches into Squad matches!

How to Sign up for Fortnite Refer a Friend 3.0

The first step to referring a friend in Fortnite is to make sure you are in-game friends with the person you wish to refer. Then, sign up or log in to the Refer a Friend website with your Epic account. After logging in, you’ll need to invite a friend (or multiple) and then start playing and completing the tasks together. You can invite up to five friends and complete the same tasks with each one. In order for you and your friend to qualify to earn points, they must have less than 2 hours of playtime in a core Battle Royale game mode (Solos, Duos, Trios, Squads, and the Zero Build versions of them) within the last 30 days. The system is set up this way to not only encourage new players to join but also to inspire veteran players who haven’t played in a while to renew their interest in the game, much like the Reboot Rally.

As you complete the tasks with your friend, you will unlock their rewards, eventually making up the whole Redcap set. Here’s how to unlock each piece:
