How Many Trainers Are Needed To Beat Primal Groudon And Primal Kyogre In Pok Mon Go

How many trainers are needed to beat Primal Kyogre in Pokémon GO?

It’s suggested that five trainers are all that’s necessary to beat Primal Kyogre in Pokémon GO, but it’s probably smarter to bring more. The reason why is that Primal Kyogre is incredibly bulky, with 223 Defense. That means that no Pokémon are ever going to have a quick time to kill on Primal Kyogre. The fact that none of these are below 1000 seconds should be very concerning. This means that for at least 1000 seconds, the Pokémon being bought to the raid are taking damage. The only real way to keep from dying to Primal Kyogre before dealing enough damage to it is to bring more teammates than is thought to be necessary.

Mega Sceptile: 1150.3 seconds Kartana: 1156.3 seconds Zarude: 1286.7 seconds Mega Venusaur: 1278.7 seconds Shadow Raikou: 1235.7 seconds

It’s also a good idea to prioritize Grass types over Electric types in this battle. Electric types like Raikou, Xuirkitree, and Electivire often die to Primal Kyogre because they don’t resist Water moves; they just deal super effective damage back. Therefore, most of them are going to die from a Hydro Pump before they can get their damage out. Personally, I’d try to train up a Mega Sceptile since the Grass and Dragon combination double resists Water.

How many Trainers are needed to beat Primal Groudon in Pokémon GO?

Surprisingly, it takes fewer trainers to beat Primal Groudon than it does to beat its Water-type counterpart. This is because Primal Groudon is both Fire-type and Ground-type, making it quadruple weak to Water moves. As a result, only four trainers are really needed to take down Primal Groudon. These times to kill are much more reasonable than those it took to beat Primal Kyogre. Therefore, a trainer could bring around four people and still defeat this Raid boss, so long as they all have Water types. They don’t even need the strongest Water types—alternatives like Feraligatr, Kingler, Samurott, and even Clawitzer do excellently against Primal Groudon.
