How To Beat Arlo In Pok Mon Go All Arlo Counters
Quick Notes
The counters we include aren’t synonymous with weaknesses. Sometimes these counters will be mentioned for things other than being the opponent’s weakness. Other examples may include their movesets or the fact that they’re naturally resistant to their opponent. These lists are not ranked from best to worst. While we can provide the best counters to use in any match, there is no guarantee which order they should fall. The effectiveness of each Pokémon largely depends on your play style and battle technique. This being the case, we have instead opted to list the counters alphabetically. Best team setup: There are a few Pokémon types that we recommend adding to your team, since they do well against many of the Pokémon in Arlo’s lineup. It’s best to have some combination of the team listed below. Still, if you only have two of them, you should hold fairly well against Arlo. Any Strong Fighting or Ice Pokémon Any Strong Fire or Electric Pokémon Any Strong Ice Pokémon
Round 1 Pokémon
The following list has all the options for this gym leader to use as their first Pokémon.
Bagon
Type: Dragon Weak Against: Dragon, Fairy, Ice Resistant Against: Electric, Fire, Grass, Water Notes: Dragons are weak against their own type, so it’s best to stick to Fairy or Ice Pokémon.
Round 2 Pokémon
The following list has all the options for this gym leader to use as their second Pokémon.
Blastoise
Type: Water Weak Against: Electric, Grass Resistant Against: Fire, Ice, Steel, Water Notes: Blastoise is both weak against Grass attacks and ineffective against Grass Pokémon, so it’s usually better to use Grass Pokémon than Electric. Still, Grass isn’t a great option against the rest of Arlo’s lineup.
Charizard
Type: Fire, Flying Weak Against: Electric, Rock, Water Resistant Against: Bug, Grass, Fairy, Fighting, Fire, Ground, Steel Notes: Both Fire and Flying are vulnerable against Rock, and Charizard doesn’t deal much damage to Rock Pokémon.
Steelix
Type: Steel, Ground Weak Against: Fighting, Fire, Ground, Water Resistant Against: Poison, Electric, Rock, Bug, Dragon, Fairy, Flying, Normal, Psychic, Steel Notes: Steelix is vulnerable to Fire attacks, but its Ground attacks are strong against Fire Pokémon. It’s best to use Fighting, Ground, or Water against it.
Round 3 Pokémon
The following list has all the options for this gym leader to use as their third Pokémon.
Scizor
Type: Bug, Steel Weak Against: Fire Resistant Against: Grass, Poison, Bug, Dragon, Fairy, Ice, Normal, Psychic, Steel Notes: Scizor has one super effective weakness: Fire. It is resistant to most other types of attacks, so you want to make sure you have a Fire Pokémon in your lineup in case Arlo pulls Scizor out.
Dragonite
Type: Dragon, Flying Weak Against: Dragon, Fairy, Ice, Rock Resistant Against: Grass, Ground, Bug, Fighting, Fire, Water Notes: Ice and Fairy are recommended since Arlo is using several Dragon Pokémon this season.
Salamence
Type: Dragon, Flying Weak Against: Dragon, Fairy, Ice, Rock Resistant Against: Grass, Ground, Bug, Fighting, Fire, Water Notes: Ice and Fairy are recommended since Arlo is using several Dragon Pokémon this season
