OSRS - How to get the quetzal bird pet Quetzin

The biggest barrier to getting the quetzal pet, Quetzin, in OSRS is becoming a member of the Hunter Guild. You need to become a member of the guild to be able to complete Hunters’ Rumours, the rewards from which are Hunters’ Loot Sacks. These come in various tiers, depending on your level, with Quetzin being a potential random unique drop from Tier 2 and 3 sacks.  To join the Hunter Guild you’ll need to have completed the quest Eagles Peak (this is available from Aedougne Zoo) and have the following skill levels:

Hunter 46 Herblore 30 Construction 27

You will then need to head to Varlamore. For a full walkthrough of the process, you can read my guide on how to join the Hunter Guild. Once in you can take Hunters’ Rumours quests but you’ll need to be at least Hunter 72 to take quests with Tier 2 sack rewards, and Hunter 91 to get Tier 3 sacks.  If you don’t currently have a pet following you, you’ll know you’ve got Quetzin as a reward if you get the message, You have a feeling like you’re being followed. Otherwise (as long as you have backpack space) you’ll get the message, You feel something weird sneaking into your backpack.
