How To Get The Phase 3 Epic Crafting Patterns In Wow Sod Map
World of Warcraft Season of Discovery Phase 3 epic crafting patterns and what they do
There are 19 new items that can be crafted with the different professions available to SoD players. Most of these require an item called the Inert Mantle of Nightmares and Nightmare Seeds. You can purchase Mantles from Rix Xizzix in Booty Bay, and Seeds are dropped from Sunken Temple enemies. Here is a quick peak at each of these 19 items, how to make them, and a brief description of what they each do.
How to get the crafting recipes in Phase 3 in WoW SoD (Walkthrough)
The first step of the quest chain will be in the Ashenvale Nightmare Incursion. Inside the dream, look for the Warsong Lumber Camp, then head south. Avoid the bridge and continue south until you receive the debuff called the Aura of Paralyzing Dread from the Nightmare Amalgamation (87,35; see the map above). When you get it, your chat box will read “Drink your fear… drink your pain…” Head out of the Emerald Nightmare and go to Ashenvale Field Captain Hannalah (map below).
When you speak with Hannahlah now, you will have a new dialogue option. She will ask if you have recently gone into the Emerald Nightmare and if you saw anything weird there. Answer “Yes, I have.” Exhaust your dialogue with her to gain the quest called An Amalgamation of Nightmares. This quest will lead you to an elf named Loganaar, the Druid Trainer NPC in Moonglade. Interact with him to complete An Amalgamation of Nightmares and get the next step, called Itharius. Itharius can be found in the Swamp of Sorrows; he’ll be in a cave in the southwest of the map. Talk to him to turn in the Itharius quest and get the next step, called Going Under. Head into the Sunken Temple, then enter the Lair of the Chosen to complete Going Under. Turn it in back with Itharius, then he will task you will returning to Loganaar in Moonglade.
Next to Loganaar, you will see a Shadowy Figure. Speak with them twice to get the next quest in the chain: The Bad News. This will require you to go all the way to Booty Bay, which will be quite a hike. Look for the Injured Gnome in the Salty Sailor Tavern, and chat with him. He will send you to Jaguero Isle, which is located off the coast of Stranglethorn Vale, looking for the world’s tiniest Murloc. Next to the Itty Bitty Murloc is a mound of dirt you can interact with. Return again to Moonglade to interact with the Shadowy Figure. This will give you the quest Waking the Nightmare.
The last step of the quest is finally get rid of the Nightmare in Ashenvale. You need to equip the Void-Powered Vambraces you have received from doing the quest steps above in order to keep the Fear debuff from preventing you from killing it. It will drop a Mantle of Nightmares, which needs to be turned into the Shadowy Figure. She will give you one Inert Mantle of Nightmares, which is one of the many reagents you need to make many of the crafted items for Phase 3. If you have 250 skill in the crafting profession, she will offer you the epic crafting patterns for those items you can make.
How to defeat the Nightmare Amalgamation in WoW SoD
The Nightmare Amalgamation doesn’t have any complicated mechanics, but that doesn’t mean this boss won’t be a tough fight. It hits incredibly hard, so you will need at least one healer with you and a tank that can take those hits without dying. This thing has 181,566 health, so you’ll also need several DPS toons to help bring it down. I suggest a group of six players for this battle. It will deal mostly Shadow damage, but it does have a Nature entanglement spell. Here is what it can do:
Entangling Roots: Nature Feast on Your Fear: Shadow Psychic Scream: Shadow Shadow Bolt Volley: Shadow Shadow Shock: Shadow
