How to summon Herobrine in Minecraft

It should be noted that this guide is for entertainment purposes only. There is no proof Herobrine ever has been included in Minecraft, and summoning him is not anything that’s functional within the game.  That said, here’s the generally agreed-upon method for summoning Herobrine. Here’s what you’ll need:

8x Gold Blocks 1x Mossy Cobblestone Blocks 1x Netherrack Block 4x Redstone Torches 1x Flint and Steel

How to build a Herobrine summoning shrine

Start by placing the eight Gold Blocks in a square, and place the Mossy Cobblestone in the middle. Next place the Netherrack Block in the middle, on top of the Mossy Cobblestone. Place the four Redstone Torches around the Netherrack in a cross. Finally, use the Flint and Steel to light the top of the Netherrack, and you’ve completed your Herobrine summoning shrine.

Does it really work?

It’s highly likely that attempting to summon Herobrine will work. But there are some things to consider:

Herobrine has always been said to appear in single-player worlds. If you’re playing online, or on a Realms server, it would be doubtful he’d appear. Herobrine only appeared in older versions of Minecraft. The original sighting of Herobrine was in Alpha 1.0.16. Almost every patch notes release since then has included the term “Removed Herobrine.” This would imply you could only summon him in versions before this.
