Unfortunately, there is no way to fully turn off or remove Roblox’s ability to know your location. Despite what many trolls on the internet may want impressionable parents to believe, though, the only part of your location that Roblox learns is the country in which you reside—it knows nothing about your state, city, or actual address whatsoever. In order for Roblox to work properly, it needs to know what country you’re in, that way it can enforce the required limits/features for each location, such as currency defaults and region blocks.

How to change your location on Roblox

First, access the Account Info page on Roblox by clicking the cog icon in the top right corner; then selecting Settings from the drop-down menu. This will take you to a page titled My Settings, which has multiple subheadings that can be used to direct the player where they need to go. Under the Personal subheading, which can be found under the Account Info subheading, you should see settings for your birthday, gender, account location, language, and theme. We of course want the Account Location setting, which, upon selecting, displays nearly 250 locations that you can select. Once you’ve found the location you want/need, simply click on it. As soon as you do, the entire Roblox website/app will be updated with your new location. That’s all there is to it!
