Lords Of The Fallen All Status Effects Explained

All Lords of the Fallen Status Effects

1. Bleed

Bleed is a status effect inflicted by most bladed or piercing attacks. The status deals Physical Damage over time (DoT) once the Bleed status bar is filled. If inflicted by the Bleed status, it can be instantly removed using Bleed Cure.

2. Burn

Burn is a status effect inflicted when hit with excessive Burn damage, which often tends to come from Fire damage. The status deals Fire Damage over time (DoT) once the Burn bar is filled up. The status can be removed using Burn Cure or rolling several times in rapid succession.

3. Poison

Poison is a status effect that deals Poison DoT once its status bar is filled up. This damage type is inflicted when hit with significant amounts of poison damage and can be cured using Poison Cure.

4. Smite

Smite is a status effect that builds by the application of holy damage. Excessive Holy damage will afflict the target with the Smite status, which calls down a bolt of high-damage holy lightning. Build-up of Smite can be removed using Smite Cure.

5. Wither

Wither is a unique status effect that lowers your maximum health pool depicted by a white bar that covers it. The more Wither damage you receive, the more the white bar reduces your health. When you’re stuck with an attack, you take the full white bar as actual health damage. Wither is also inflicted on you when entering the Umbral state and blocking attacks. It is inflicted on enemies when attacking their soulflayed soul.

6. Ignite

Ignite is a status effect inflicted when hit with excessive Ignite damage, which, like with Burn, tends to come from Fire damage, but not in all cases. The status causes an explosion of Fire damage when the status bar fills to max. You can use Ignite Cure to reduce build-up.

7. Frostbite

Frostbite is a special status that is applied when enough Frostbite damage has been taken. When the Frostbite status bar fills entirely, it halves your maximum stamina and you take a junk of burst damage. Against enemies, Frostbite causes a burst of damage and dramatically reduces poise. The Frostbite status can be removed using Frostbite Cure.
