Roblox Fisch Developers Are Planning To Introduce Pets

As of now, both Noah’s and Nate’s initial messages have only conveyed that they are thinking about adding a Pet that will provide various buffs/traits like increased Lure Speed or Luck to the players and also perform the role of gathering baits on behalf of the players. Both of these are great functionalities that will only further improve Fisch’s core gameplay mechanics apart from acting as a cute companion to the players. While the pets will no doubt be interesting mechanics, the way in which these will be obtained/acquired is the central question of doubt. If pets are obtained through unique quests or missions, then there won’t be an issue, as they will only act like extra accessories or Enchants. But, if they are solely acquired through the Shop through Robux, then Fisch would become a P2W title. Why? Instead of enjoying the grind of completing a bestiary or any quest through gameplay, which is the essence of Fisch, players can easily buy pets from Shop and catch any Fisch due to an increased stat boost. Also, the Fisch Trading Economy will tumble as P2W players will flood the market with more quantities of fish, decreasing the value of Secret or Mythicals significantly. I feel the developers should think twice or even thrice about the method through which the pets should be acquired in Fisch, as the game is loved by millions of players mainly because of its monetization policy that only revolves around selling non-essential items like Music Pass or Cosmetic Skins as Gamepasses and has typically stayed very far away from the predatory practices of other prominent developers that force young Roblox players to spend Robux to progress in their games. So, introducing such features will only steer away from the existing F2P if the economy changes or becomes highly grindy. To conclude, only time will tell if the addition of Pets will further boost their numbers or start their downfall!
