Here are the default Type Soul controls, but you can also customize them in the settings menu. This is a great accessibility option if you’re lefthanded like me!

Here are some additional tips for Type Soul controls to maximize your chances against opponents. There are several controls I’ve used the most:

Press the Q button for the dash to avoid attacks and move around fast. Use often your Shikai and Bankai controls in Type Soul to unleash powerful attacks. Use often the M button to meditate and restore your health and energy. The best way to earn experience points is to use the P button to purify Lost Souls. Press the V button to carry your friends and help them in battle.

How to Flash Step in Type Soul

Flash Step is a fundamental combat skill movement in Type Soul. Though it is a standard move, it is essential during battle as it allows repositioning while remaining immune for a short duration. You can execute Flash Step in Type Soul using the following Keybinds.

Sword Release: D-Pad Up Attack:  RT or R2 Block: RB or R1 Critical Attack: LT or L2 Combat Mode Toggle: D-Pad Right Essential Interaction:  X or Square Skill Swap: Use LB/RB or L1/R1 (Turn on Combat Mode) Skill Trigger: LT or L2 (Turn on Combat Mode) Buying Skills: B or O (Turn on Combat Mode) Shikai: X or Square (Turn on Combat Mode) Bankai/Volt: D-Pad Left(Turn on Combat Mode) Carry: D-Pad Down Grip: D-Pad Down + D-Pad Right Meditate: Y or Triangle Shikai 1st Skill: B or O (While Using Shikhai) Shikai 2nd Skill: Y or Triangle (While Using Shikhai) Shikai 2nd Skill:  X or Square (While Using Shikhai) Bankai 1st Skill: D-Pad Down + X (While Using Bankai) Bankai 2nd Skill: D-Pad Down + B (While Using Bankai) Hollow Transformation: D-Pad Down + Right
