Upon spawning into dingus, you’ll be placed on one of two teams, the Hunters, or the Hiders. If you’re a Hunter, your job is to find every Hider and eliminate them; if you’re a Hider, your job is to complete tasks and survive until the end of the round. When a round begins, every player will spawn in at the same time; those who are Hiders must blend in with the NPCs walking amongst them, while those who are Hunters must determine which NPCs are actually the Hider players in disguise. If a Hunter shoots the wrong person, killing an NPC citizen instead of a real player (a Hider), they will be blinded for 12 seconds, allowing any Hiders in the area to move more freely for a brief period of time. If a Hunter shoots two NPCs citizens, they will be removed from the game and unable to participate again until the next round. If a Hider is eliminated by a Hunter, they will be removed from the game as well, and unable to return until the next round.

To win dingus as a Hunter, you and your team must eliminate all Hiders before they can complete their tasks. To locate a Hider, keep an eye out for suspicious movements, including sprinting, stopping and turning around, sudden camera movement/spins, etc. Also pay attention to the task alerts that appear at the the top of your screen—if you notice a task being completed in your area, you may want to check it out! When you think you’ve found a Hider, keep an eye on them from afar and try and really notice what they do; if after a bit of following you’re sure you think they’re a Hider, aim and shoot!

To win dingus as a Hider, you and your team must complete all of your required tasks without being discovered and eliminated by the team of Hunters. To blend in with the rest of the civilian NPCs, be sure to avoid running when in view of Hunters, resist making sudden movements, complete a task fully before stopping, and pay attention their general patterns. So long as you follow the crowd and avoid sticking out, you should be able to complete tasks undetected.
