What Is Metal Gear Solid Integral

Metal Gear Solid Integral, explained

When Metal Gear Solid was first released in 1998, some special modifications were made to the European and North American versions of the game. Therefore, Japan missed out on some of the newer features that improved the experience (for example, multiple difficulty settings). Metal Gear Solid Integral is basically a revamp of the base game with these changes for the Japanese audience with a couple of other perks that drastically improve the game experience. For newcomers who get the Master Collection Vol. 1, I would definitely recommend playing Integral. The MP5 with unlimited ammo certainly comes in handy. In regular difficulties, conserving ammo can be a huge pain, so it’s nice to play the game without having to worry about it. Series veterans can also have fun with the new version with swapped guards, but they need a save file with MGS already beaten before unlocking this mode.
